My Christmas.
By Ott Tanak

The 2012 FIA World Rally Championship season may have only recently come to an end, but have you ever wondered what rally drivers get up to over the festive season?

As part of a new feature on WRC.com, we are asking stars from the WRC where they will be celebrating Christmas this year. Today, we speak to rising star Ott Tanak.

“I’ll be spending Christmas at home in the countryside,” said the Estonian. “It’s nice when we have a proper winter in Estonia with lots of snow, and I’m sure there will be plenty this year.

“I always spend Christmas with my family which is good because I haven’t seem them as much this year after being on so many rallies and tests. Spending time with my family is a gift in itself, and I don’t really mind about presents I get as long as I can eat some proper Christmas food and relax!

“But for me, the most interesting time is the day before Christmas. On Christmas eve, I will spent almost the whole day in the forest but not in a car, I’ll be on foot and on the hunt to find the perfect Christmas tree.”
