There was a longer wait for WRC3 action to get underway on Saturday with the day’s opening stage being cancelled prior to WRC3 revving into action, on account of an incident involving a WRC2 competitor. But when action finally got underway, Pelamourgues immediately picked up from where he had left off the previous evening, with another quickest stage time in his Renault Clio Rally3.
On the final test of the morning loop, Italian Matteo Fontana was able to pick up his first stage win of the weekend, overtaking fellow Ford Fiesta Rally3 driver Ghjuvanni Rossi to move into second.
