The Paraguayan star dominated this year’s WRC3 championship, claiming victory in five of the seven events he contested in a Ford Fiesta Rally3. Now, he is set to take on the FIA World Rally Championship’s premier support category with Teo Martín Motorsport, the Spanish team which enjoyed success with the same Toyota model this season, including a WRC2 win at Vodafone Rally de Portugal with Jan Solans.
Domínguez will once again be partnered by his long-time co-driver, Rogelio Peñate. The duo has committed to a seven-round campaign, starting with Safari Rally Kenya. While their full calendar is yet to be confirmed, it will undoubtedly feature their home event, Rally del Paraguay, which joins the WRC calendar for the first time from 28–31 August.
Confirming the news, Domínguez said: “I want to thank Teo [Martín] and his entire team for the great support they have given us. I am sure that, together, we will work to achieve all the objectives we have set ourselves, always leaving Paraguay and Toyota at the top.

Domínguez chooses Teo Martín Toyota for 2025 WRC2 title tilt
Reigning FIA WRC3 champion Diego Domínguez will step up to WRC2 in 2025, campaigning a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 for a full-season programme.

“Once again, Rogelio Peñate will join me in the right seat in an adventure that will begin in Kenya and that will include seven events across Europe, South America and Asia.
“I look forward to seeing everyone cheering us on along the road - especially in Paraguay - when at the end of August we fulfil the great dream of being, for the first time in the history of our country, the host of a round of the FIA World Rally Championship,” he added.
The 2025 FIA World Rally Championship spans 14 rounds, with WRC2 competitors offered the flexibility to choose seven events to contest. Of these, their six best results will count towards their final championship standing.
