WRC ready to shine at vibrant Rally Japan
The Toyota GR Yaris stopped at the traffic lights and the assembled group of fans began clapping, smiling, laughing. The enthusiasm was as enormous as its delivery respectful.
And moving the rally back another week has brought added Christmas cheer, with trees, decorations and Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé making an audible appearance slightly earlier than expected. It’s all good.
It’s a pleasure to be back in Japan, among some of the finest fans and most amazing sushi and sashimi in the world. And don’t forget the stages. Slick and getting slick by the falling autumn leaf, these roads are worthy of the fascinating world title fight which sits in wait later this week.
For the 13th time this year, it’s game on. Get ready Japan.
