In the latest episode of More than Machine, the 29-year-old Frenchman reveals that every top team has expressed interest – a rare position that underscores his strong performance and growing reputation within the sport.
Fourmaux has been a core part of M-Sport Ford’s line-up since 2020, competing across both WRC2 and the premier category. After making his debut in the top class with a Fiesta World Rally Car, he currently drives a Puma Rally1 HYBRID alongside co-driver Alex Coria.
Now, as he nears the end of his strongest season to date – with four podiums and multiple stage wins – Fourmaux is weighing a continued partnership with M-Sport in addition to potential moves to Hyundai or Toyota.
The fifth episode of the More than Machine docuseries premiered today (Thursday, 14 November) on the WRC’s official YouTube channel, and provides a rare look into the complexity of his decision.
“I make my decision with my head more than my heart,” Fourmaux explains, “because my aim is to be world champion and I want to find a good way to go there. What M-Sport is doing with the money they have got is incredible, it’s brilliant – but will it be enough? That’s the question.

Fourmaux in demand: M-Sport star has pick of WRC’s top teams
Adrien Fourmaux has given fresh insight into his future in the FIA World Rally Championship, revealing the choices on the table as he contemplates his next steps.
“It doesn’t mean that I am leaving, but Hyundai is offering me a full season, which is interesting. Toyota is [offering] a half season, which I am not interested in. But for sure, at M-Sport I know everybody, and it feels like a home. They said they want to keep me, but I am still waiting for it, so it’s quite annoying.”
Hyundai Motorsport, current leaders in the manufacturers’ championship, has confirmed that Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak will return for 2025. Andreas Mikkelsen, Dani Sordo, and Esapekka Lappi have alternated drives in the team’s third i20 N Rally1 HYBRID throughout this season, but none have penned new contracts so far.
Toyota GAZOO Racing is expected to announce its 2025 line-up soon after next week's FORUM8 Rally Japan.
