The 29-year-old Frenchman has been under M-Sport Ford’s wing since 2020, competing in both WRC2 and the premier category. He made his first mark in the sport’s top flight behind the wheel of a Fiesta World Rally Car before stepping up to the Puma Rally1 HYBRID.
As he wraps up his strongest season to date - marked by four podium finishes and multiple stage wins - rumours are swirling about a potential switch to a rival squad for 2025.
Speaking after the Central European Rally, where a front differential problem forced him off the road, Fourmaux remained tight-lipped about his future in the championship.
“There are, for sure, distractions,” he said, addressing the ongoing speculation. “But as a driver, you have to live with that.
With a knowing smile, he added: “I will be in a Rally1 car next year,” clearly hinting at plans already in motion but without alluding further to where that might be.

Fourmaux confirms 2025 Rally1 seat – but where?
Adrien Fourmaux has confirmed to WRC.com that he will remain in the top-tier Rally1 category for the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship season, though the team he’ll drive for is still up in the air.
Despite his misfortune on Saturday, Fourmaux took solace in finishing third in the Super Sunday standings and believes his asphalt performance sets him up well for the season finale at FORUM8 Rally Japan.
“I’m happy that now when the car is working, at least we are there, and the pace was good [on Sunday] morning. We finished third on Super Sunday. On the Power Stage we were on soft [tyres] but we should have gone a bit more hard, but it was a bit of a gamble this morning.
“I’m definitely pleased that we showed our pace on Tarmac, both today and in Croatia. If the diffs are working, I am sure we can be on the pace in Japan.”
