With just over one week remaining until the season-opening
Rallye Monte-Carlo (25 – 28 January), Hyundai is the final top-flight team to
showcase its challenger for 2024.
The livery, featuring several updates, maintains its
distinctive blue and orange colour scheme and also pays homage to the team’s
10-year strategic partnership with title sponsor Shell.
Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville will compete full-time in
2024, with the duo being joined by Hyundai returnee Andreas Mikkelsen in
Monte-Carlo next week. Spain’s Dani Sordo and Finland’s Esapekka Lappi will
alternate drives with Mikkelsen throughout the season.
“This year, we want to target more frequent wins, which we
hope to achieve with our refreshed driver line-up and improved Hyundai i20 N
Rally1 Hybrid,” said Hyundai Motorsport president and team principal Cyril
Abiteboul.
“Success in 2024 will be our focus and we are confident that
we have the right pieces in place for this to be a reality. In addition, we
also have a plan that looks forward into 2025 and 2026 that we intend to
execute,” he added.
