Fourmaux applauds M-Sport's Fiesta Rally2 upgrades

M-Sport Ford driver Adrien Fourmaux has praised the British-based team's work on its Fiesta Rally2 car across the 2023 season.

M-Sport has been engaged in a season-long programme of evolution for the car, with the final piece of the jigsaw coming with a new cooling package in time for last month’s Central European Rally.

Overcoming an early puncture which cost him a minute and dropped him to 15th Rally2 car in the field, Fourmaux tore back up the leaderboard with what he felt was one of his best ever drives.

“I think it was definitely one of the best,” said Fourmaux. “I was pushing hard for the whole rally and just working to keep making the times, winning the stages and coming back to the front. Fifteen to first is pretty impressive.”

Talking about the Fiesta, he added: “The team can be proud for what they did with this car through this year – there was so much work and so much effort went in and it all paid off. We could feel the difference with the new cooling package, everything has made a difference. I have to say a big thanks to everybody in the team for what they have done.”

Fourmaux’s great season is about to get even better with his return to a Ford Puma Rally1 coming at next week’s FORUM8 Rally Japan.
