High demand: FORUM8 Rally Japan tickets selling fast

Anticipation is building for the final round of this year’s FIA World Rally Championship with ticket sales for FORUM8 Rally Japan (16 - 19 November) well under way.

Building on the asphalt event’s tremendous return to the calendar in 2022, FORUM8 Rally Japan organisers are bringing fans even closer to the action with the creation of an all-new spectator stage within the iconic Toyota Stadium in Aichi.

The specially-designed super special stage will welcome competitors once a day from Thursday to Saturday. Cars will engage in thrilling head-to-head battles within the confines of the arena under the watchful view of almost 40,000 people.

Adding to the excitement is the inclusion of another new and truly immersive fan experience. Those who opt for 'Premium' and 'Gold' seat packages will be treated to a 'course walk' which allows them to explore the special stage on foot before the cars arrive.

Chairman of the commission Toshihiko Ota revealed that demand for advance tickets, offered through a lottery system, has been strong.

“In the ‘advance sales’ conducted by lottery for Japan, most of the planned number of tickets for spectators in the mountainous areas have already sold out,” Ota confirmed. “The ‘general sales’ by first-come-first-served basis for both overseas and domestic customers started today, and we hope that many fans, both domestic and overseas, will enjoy the event.

“We have heard from fans that they are excited about the prospect of a thrilling dual rally event being held at Toyota Stadium, where soccer matches are usually held. Unlike spectator areas in mountainous areas, the stadium is close to a central train station and can welcome a large number of spectators, so we hope that people who have never seen a rally before will come.”
