Championship leader Rovanpera crashes out in Finland

Reigning WRC Kalle Rovanperä’s hopes of a maiden Secto Rally Finland victory came to an abrupt halt on Friday afternoon when his Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 was left stranded on its roof 11.1km into the second passing of the legendary Myhinpää. Both Rovanperä and co-driver Jonne Halttunen were unharmed during the incident but were unable to continue due to the damage sustained by their car.
