Loubet rushed through the flying finish of Friday morning's final stage before he and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul rapidly exited their Puma and signalled for extinguishers from marshals.
The issue was identified to be related to the car's exhaust but it was not enough to stop the French-Belgian pairing from continuing on Friday afternoon.
