The Frenchman finished fourth in WRC2 at last month’s Croatia Rally, overcoming an electrical issue on the opening day to win Saturday morning’s first test and demonstrate plenty of front-of-the-field pace across the weekend around Zagreb.
“I’m really happy with what we did in Croatia,” said Fourmaux. “It wasn’t so easy to start with, we had a wet test and going to a dry event was a bit complicated, but the team found a really good way with the car and for the last two days the feeling was very strong.
“I know last year it was a bit difficult for this car on the Tarmac, but now it’s really positive. The improvements in the chassis made the difference.
