Kajto unveils new look for WRC2 title charge

Kajetan Kajetanowicz has confirmed he will contest a full WRC2 programme in 2023, starting with next week’s Guanajuato Rally México (16 - 19 March).

Three-time FIA European Rally champion Kajetanowicz has a score to settle after missing out on last year’s WRC2 crown at the final round. He had been embroiled in a three-way race for the title with Emil Lindholm and Andreas Mikkelsen, but ended the season third after crashing at FORUM8 Rally Japan.

While the Polish driver’s schedule of events is yet to be revealed, he will carry out a full seven-round programme. He starts next week’s fixture behind the wheel of his trusty Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, while an upgrade to the new Fabia RS Rally2 model is on the cards for future rallies.

“My rally dreams are coming true again and I am very happy about it,” Kajetanowicz said. “I can compete against the best drivers in the world.

“This is really happening – and it is possible thanks to support of our partners who trusted us once again. I am looking forward to the competition on the stages. We start very soon – in Mexico,” he added.

Other WRC2 entrants for Guanajuato Rally México include Gus Greensmith, Oliver Solberg, Emil Lindholm and Adrien Fourmaux.
