Drivers and team principals from all three of the championship's top-level manufacturers were given the red carpet treatment as they arrived to the opening ceremony, which took place at the Exhibition of HSH The Prince of Monaco's Vintage Car Collection adjacent to the Rallye Monte-Carlo service park.
Also taking to the stage were FIA Deputy President for Sport Robert Reid and Mario Isola, the Motorsport Director for tyre manufacturer Pirelli.
