Fourmaux: It's good to be back

Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux returns to the M-Sport Ford line-up this week for the first time since crashing out of Ypres Rally Belgium in August.

The Ford Puma Rally1 driver has competed at RallyRACC - Rally de España twice and showed good speed last season, before damaging the car when he clipped a barrier and was forced out of sixth place.

Fourmaux missed EKO Acropolis Rally Greece and this month’s Repco Rally New Zealand following his Belgian crash.

“I am,” he said, “really pleased to be back in the car and it’s a beautiful rally. We have some really nice flowing stages and I will be really happy to be back in the World Rally Championship.

“We had a really good test and I am really happy to drive the car in Spain and enjoy the moment. I hope for a good result for the team and all our crews.”

M-Sport is led by Craig Breen and Paul Nagle for the final time, with the Irish co-driver retiring from the sport at the end of an event he won with Kris Meeke in 2017.

Team principal Richard Millener said: “It’s Paul’s final WRC event as well, so we’re going to do everything we can to make sure he goes out on a high and thank him for all of the hard work him and Craig have put in since joining the team.”
