Spain hosts WRC3 title decider

The WRC3 championship will be decided at RallyRACC - Rally de España (20 - 23 October) this weekend - with three drivers still in contention for victory.

Ironically, championship leader Sami Pajari is not even competing in the category here in Spain.  The young Finn is instead driving a Škoda Fabia in WRC2, having already started the maximum five WRC3 rounds.

Although Pajari’s partner Enni Mälkönen already has the co-drivers’ crown in the bag, the outcome of the drivers’ championship rests on the performances of Lauri Joona and Jan Černý.

Both drivers trail Pajari by a single point before dropped scores are taken into account. Victory for either would seal the deal - but if neither Joona nor Černý win the rally, Pajari takes the title.

Paraguayan star Diego Dominguez starts his second Rally de España after claiming victory last time out in Greece, while Zóltan László - fifth in the points - completes the all-Ford Fiesta Rally3 entry list.
