After team-mate Craig Breen's retirement on Friday, Greensmith was the leading M-Sport driver and held sixth overall heading into the final stage of the loop.
However, the Briton got out of the line 2km into the stage and understeered into a banking which launched his Puma into a series of rolls. Although the car landed on its wheels, the damage caused proved too extensive to continue.
Both Greensmith and co-driver Jonas Andersson were unhurt in the incident.
