Fourmaux pulled from New Zealand entry

M-Sport Ford has withdrawn Adrien Fourmaux’s entry for next week’s Repco Rally New Zealand (29 September - 2 October).

The French youngster had been down to drive a hybrid-powered Puma Rally1 car at the championship’s 11th round - but his M-Sport team confirmed this afternoon (Tuesday) that he will not be on the start line in Auckland.

Fourmaux was pulled from the team’s EKO Acropolis Rally Greece line-up earlier this month after damage inflicted to his car during a crash at Ypres Rally Belgium proved too severe to repair in time.

He will rejoin the team for Rally RACC - Rally de España, which takes place in Salou from 20 - 23 October.

A statement issued by M-Sport Ford said:
After reassessing Adrien Fourmaux’s targets for the 2022 season, M-Sport has withdrawn Adrien’s entry for Rally New Zealand.

M-Sport remains fully committed to Adrien and this decision has been made in conjunction with him and our partners.

M-Sport can confirm Adrien will return to action with the team on Rally Spain in a Puma Hybrid Rally1.

Craig Breen and Gus Greensmith will drive factory-entered Pumas in New Zealand next week, with M-Sport also running a third car for Italian privateer Lorenzo Bertelli.
