The Škoda Rally2 Evo star was on the WRC2 pace throughout Ypres Rally Belgium and even won the opening stage before a spin set him back on SS2.
Luckily, he was able to quickly recover and overtook Grégoire Munster on the final leg to clinch the WRC2 Junior victory as well as ninth overall. It equalled his best overall WRC result, achieved at Rally Turkey back in 2018.
“I was driving really smoothly with no risks the whole rally,” Ingram said of his Friday error. “That was the first mistake I made all year, it just took me by surprise and it is just one of those things.
“I am getting faster every rally, as everybody can see. The times have been really promising. We were up with Andreas Mikkelsen and Stepháne Lefebvre on most of the stages, I would say. We Just need to be a little bit more consistent and we will be there I believe.”
