Černý claims commanding WRC3 lead into Saturday

Černý won every stage in the all-Ford Fiesta field, ending the day 4min 6.3sec ahead of Zoltán László. The lead was achieved with new co-driver Tom Woodburn alongside him delivering pacenotes in English.

"The first stage was quite difficult," acknowledged Černý as he became accustomed to the English calls. "We know that we really need the points for the WRC3 Championship so we are not pushing the limits. We drove really safely through the stages." 

László was the only other driver in the category to complete the day's action after series regular Enrico Brazzoli ended up in a ditch on the first stage of the afternoon loop. It is unclear if the Italian will restart on Saturday.
