The four-day fixture comprises 24 special stages, with average speeds set to be some of the highest we’ve seen so far this season. And, while many of the locations will be familiar, a number of stages have been tweaked to keep crews on their toes.
Thursday evening’s start ceremony at Town Hall Square leads crews to the Visit Estonia Tartu (1.66km) parkland stage, which lies just a few hundred metres away from the service park.
On Friday, competitors face the longest leg of the rally with four challenging stages - each driven twice - bringing the total to 139.18km.
Peipsääre opens proceedings and is the longest stage of the rally at 24.35km. It's followed by Mustvee (17.09km) - extended by almost 5km for this year.
Raanitsa (21.45km) is up next. This stage had the highest average speed last year, and Vastsemõisa (6.70km) rounds out both loops.
Saturday’s route encompasses four more stages and follows a similar format, with identical loops driven morning and afternoon bringing the day’s total to 95.02km.
It begins with Elva (11.73km) before moving slightly south for three tests nestled around Otepää in south Estonia, regarded as the country’s winter capital. They are Mäeküla (10.27km), Otepää (17.08km) and Neeruti (7.60km). Another run through Toyota Tartu (1.66km) leads the cars into overnight service.
Six tests covering 77.98km comprise Sunday’s finale. It will be an early start, with the Tartu Vald (6.56km) opener - home to last year’s Wolf Power Stage - getting underway at 0648hrs. Kanepi (16.48km) and Kambja (15.95km) follow.
All three are then repeated, with the latter forming this year’s bonus points-paying Wolf Power Stage.
The 24 stages cover 313.84km in a total route of 1486.77km.
