Having won Thursday night’s super special stage in Alghero, Černý briefly relinquished his lead to Dominguez on Saturday’s opening test, Monti di Alà e Buddusò. It marked the Paraguayan youngster’s maiden WRC3 stage win.
But the more experienced Černý soon found his straps and by the day's end had steered his Fiesta Rally3 back to the front of the field, winning three of the day’s four tests. The final four stages of the day were cancelled due to stage delays.
Enrico Brazzoli rounded out the top three another 20.8sec down on his rivals, with Zoltán László a further 2min 22sec down.
