Pajari leads new-look WRC3 line-up into 2022

Sami Pajari tops the entry list for the opening round of the FIA World Rally Championship WRC3 series at Rallye Monte-Carlo (20 - 23 January).

New WRC3 regulations for this season mean that only Rally3 cars are eligible in the category. All four crews entered in this week’s season opener will steer identical M-Sport Poland Ford Fiesta Rally3 machines.

Reigning FIA Junior WRC champion Pajari starts the rally as one of the favourites. Although the Finn has still not confirmed any plans for the rest of the season, he spent much of the winter getting to grips with his Fiesta during testing.

Former WRC2 challenger Enrico Brazzoli could also be one to watch. The 56-year-old Italian has started six previous Rallye Monte-Carlo events and won the WRC3 section in 2018.

Zoltán László spent the majority of last year driving a Fiesta Rally3 in Hungarian rallies and will be hoping to put his knowledge to good use in the French Alps, whilst Jan Černý completes the entry on his first WRC outing since Portugal in 2014.
