WRC Promoter GmbH is commercial rights holders of the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA European Rally Championship.

The Company

WRC Promoter GmbH is responsible for all commercial aspects of the Championships, including TV production and the marketing of global media and sponsorship rights. They also have responsibility to increase competitor numbers and to propose the venues that form the calendars.
The company is based in Munich (Germany), Managing Director is Jona Siebel.

While the official championship websites offer news stories, background information (including history, team and driver profiles), live timing and standings, the hugely successful social media channels of the championsips deliver daily information and entertainment to a cumulated followership of more than seven million fans.

FIA World Rally Championship

Established in 1973, the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) is the FIA’s premium rally series. It showcases high-performance hybrid-powered cars and the world’s best drivers competing in dramatic surroundings, ranging from Sweden’s freezing winter to Kenya’s heat and rocky tracks. Participants battle for drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles at 14 rallies in 2025.

FIA European Rally Championship

Established in 1953, the 2024 FIA European Rally Championship season includes eight events in Europe. The ERC is made up of three main categories, ERC (for Rally2 cars), ERC3 (for Rally3 cars) and ERC4 (for Rally4 and Rally5 cars). There’s also Junior ERC for drivers 27 and under on 1 January 2025 in Rally4 or Rally5 cars using Hankook tyres.
