Meeke at Toyota: First pictures
Twenty-four hours before Kris Meeke was officially confirmed as a Toyota Gazoo Racing driver, the Ulsterman was settling into his new office.
Meeke climbed behind the wheel of a Yaris World Rally Car for the first time on Tuesday morning on gravel roads close to the team’s Puupola base and was quickly up to pace in his 2019 mount.
“The anticipation to come here to drive the Yaris WRC for the first time in Finland was pretty exciting this morning," he said.
"Immediately in that first run I could connect with the road and feel everything, and that’s something that I’ve not had for a long time. The car feels really good."
Below wrc.com brings you the first pictures of his opening morning at work with the Japanese manufacturer.
