Video: Elfyn prepares for Wales

Last year’s Dayinsure Wales Rally GB winner Elfyn Evans has been put through his paces in a light-hearted training programme as he prepares to defend his title at this year’s event (4-7 October).

The M-Sport Ford World Rally Team driver was given a preview of the Llandudno Street Stage by Howard Davies – who co-drove Elfyn’s father Gwyndaf to the 1996 British Rally Championship title – and WRC+ All Live reporter Emyr Penlan.

Evans became the first Welshman to win on home soil when he took victory last year. In a bid to keep the Peall Trophy in Wales, Davies appointed himself as Evans’ dietician and Penlan put himself in the co-driver’s seat to navigate him around the stage, which will use closed public roads for the first time.
