Review: McKlein's WRC range

'Rally 2018 – The Wider View' the official calendar of the 2018 FIA World Rally Championship, is now on sale, featuring 25 breathtaking colour pictures from the acclaimed photographers at McKlein.

Printed in an extra large 95cm wide panoramic format, each month the king of WRC wall calendars offers a choice between two very different pictures illustrating the sport through the eyes of McKlein's photographers.

The team, which has been photographing the WRC since 1997, take you on a journey from Monte-Carlo to Finland and from Argentina to Sweden and also give an insight into the equipment and camera settings used to capture each memorable photo.

McKlein has also captured the story of how the dramatic 2017 WRC season unfolded in its 'Rallying 2017 – Moving Moments' hardback yearbook that is also on sale now.

'Rally 2018 – The Wider View' features 25 full-colour photographs from McKlein

Containing 585 stunning photographs from the season, the 280-page book records how each of the 13 rallies played out in 2017 and all of the stories are complemented by the results.

Containing both English and German language, the yearbook (pictured bottom) also captures all of the emotion that surrounded the spectacular Colin McRae tribute that was held at the Rallylegend event in October.

For those WRC fans that want a desktop calendar in 2018, McKlein has also created one of those for the year ahead.

With a 'History meets the Present' theme, the 11.5cm x 14cm calendar contains 55 photographs and offers a choice between a spectacular historic and a present-day image every two weeks.

With the Ford RS200 going up against the Ford Fiesta WRC and the Peugeot 205 T16 being pitched against a Citroën C3 WRC, it's a tough choice!

Completing the McKlein offering this year is its 'Motorsport Classic 2018' calendar that presents 25 glorious photographs taken in locations where yesteryear's motorsport history was made – including the snowy peak of the Col de Turini, and the 'Rally History 2018' calendar which captures the WRC's historical journey from the beginning to the dawn of the World Rally Car era in 25 full-colour photographs.
