eSports WRC update:
Nexl extends lead after Finland

Talented gamer TX3 Nexl extended his lead in the race for the eSports WRC title by taking his third successive virtual rally victory at Neste Rally Finland.

The French contestant, who plays on a PS4 platform, came out on top in a close battle across three of Finland's rollercoaster stages which included the Ouninpohja test.

However, with a winning margin of just 0.201sec at the finish, Nexl definitely had to work hard for his 25-point maximum score that edges him a step closer to the Grand Final and the chance to win a Hyundai i20 road car.

Runner-up spot went to Jonno who remains second in the championship standings, while PC player Greekman was third after registering his highest ever finish on an eSports WRC event, some 4.420sec further back. Subee was fourth, while Komatsu and Zaggg59 rounded out the top-six places.

With nine of the 13 rounds in 2017 now complete, Nexl tops the championship standings with 184 points. Jonno is 24 points further back, while Speedbooster27 – missing from the virtual Rally Finland entry list – fills third place on 137 points.

The eSports WRC championship battle will resume on ADAC Rallye Deutschland's challenging virtual asphalt stages on 17-20 August.
