Marc Marti is one of the sport’s most experienced co-drivers with more than 150 WRC starts in a career that began more than 20 years ago.
His WRC debut came in 1992 on his home Rallye Catalunya - Costa Brava alongside Oriol Gómez, with whom he won the Spanish asphalt title in 1994. Three years later the pair joined SEAT and helped the Spanish squad to the WRC F2 title in 1997 and 1998.
Marti joined Jesús Puras and they won the Spanish title for Citroën in 1999 and 2000 before taking the first of 32 WRC wins for the Xsara WRC at the Tour de Corse in 2001.
Marti replaced Luis Moya as co-driver for Carlos Sainz in 2003 and helped Citroën to manufacturers’ world titles in 2003 and 2004, claiming wins in Turkey and Argentina.
After Sainz’s retirement, Marti joined forces with Dani Sordo and they won the Junior WRC in 2005. They made a successful transition to Citroën’s WRC squad the following year and remained together until they split in 2010.
They reunited in 2014 when Sordo joined Hyundai Motorsport.
