Barritt is regarded as one of Britain’s leading co-drivers having started competing 18 years ago. With 75 starts at world level under his belt prior to the 2015 season, he is certainly not lacking in experience.
His career took off when he won the SCCA Pro Rally title with David Higgins in 2002 and 2003 and was one of three co-drivers who helped the Manxman to the British title in 2004.
Barritt has been a WRC regular since 2006 when he began a three-year partnership with Japanese PWRC driver Fumio Nutahara. A full WRC season with Conrad Rautenbach followed in 2009, before a switch back to PWRC in 2010 with another Japanese driver, Toshi Arai.
He navigated for WRC Academy front-runner Alastair Fisher in 2011 and 2012 before joining Welsh rising star Elfyn Evans in time for his breakthrough year in 2013.
They claimed a win and two second places in WRC 2 and M-Sport offered them a full season in a Fiesta RS WRC in 2014, during which they earned career-best fourth places in Mexico and Germany.
