An early starter, Aasen's driving career began in karts when he was just seven years old. At 16 he switched to rally cars and two years later he won the Junior Class of Norway's national championship.
In 2010 he stepped-up to a 4WD Subaru Impreza in Norway's Subaru Cup and he won the title the following year.
More Norwegian events followed in 2012, this time at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta S2000, before he moved to the world stage in 2013 and drove an R2 spec Fiesta to fifth in the Junior WRC.
In 2014 he stayed in a Fiesta R2 for the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy and put the experience to good use in 2015 when he won the competition.
He’ll claim his prize in 2016, with a DMACK-supported season in WRC 2 at the wheel of a Fiesta R5.
