Laurent Pellier’s motorsport career began in 2011 when he co-drove for his brother. He also took to the wheel himself in karting and won the Défi Kart Jeunes title in his native France.

He switched to rallying in 2013 in the French Junior Championship. In his third season in the category he won the title and the Citroën Racing Junior Trophy in a DS 3 following a string of victories.

In 2016 Pellier was an official driver with the Equipe de France team operated by the country’s motorsport governing body, FFSA. He made a winning WRC debut in Corsica in the Junior WRC category and also finished second in the Citroën Racing Trophy in France.

Pellier, a quantity surveyor by trade, makes his WRC 2 debut in 2017 in a DS 3 R5.
