Announced today (24 November) Sweden is the first of five rounds which will make up the 2026 calendar.
The championship – the stepping stone for drivers aiming to move into the FIA World Rally Championship – will once again feature M-Sport Poland Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evos equipped with Hankook Tires and lubricated by Wolf Lubricants. The championship will be played out across high-profile rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship.
At stake is one of the biggest prizes in rallying – four fully-funded WRC2 rounds with testing in 2027 in an M-Sport-run Ford Fiesta Rally2.
2026 will mark the fifth consecutive season that the FIA Junior WRC begins on the frozen snow and ice-packed forest roads surrounding Umeå – often providing the first-ever competitive experience on snow for competitors.
“I am excited that we are once again returning to Sweden,” enthused FIA Junior WRC championship manager Maciej Woda, continuing: “Sweden offers not only one of the most unique experiences and challenges in rallying, but in the entire realm of motorsport.”
“We are excited to be able to confirm the remaining rounds in the very near future. Once again, the season will take in the best of the WRC calendar offering challenges across a mixture of surfaces.”
