The 75th anniversary edition of the Jyväskylä-based classic has attracted one of the strongest fields of the season, headed by 11 Rally1 cars and a bumper WRC2 contingent on the championship’s fastest gravel roads.
Toyota Gazoo Racing arrives with five GR Yaris Rally1 cars entered across its main and WRT2 squads. Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin are joined by Takamoto Katsuta and Aaron Johnston, Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais, Sami Pajari and Marko Salminen, plus Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson.
Ogier’s inclusion adds further intrigue to the summer phase of the championship, with the Frenchman continuing his 2026 campaign after victory at EKO Acropolis Rally Greece. Solberg, meanwhile, returns to the country where fast, flowing gravel roads should suit his committed driving style.
There will also be strong home interest around Pajari, who lines up in a Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT2 entry alongside fellow Finn Marko Salminen.
Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team has entered three i20 N Rally1 cars, with Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe joined by Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria. Esapekka Lappi returns on home soil with Enni Mälkönen alongside him, giving Finnish fans another leading contender to follow in the top category.
M-Sport Ford also fields three Puma Rally1 cars. Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy continue their programme, while Jon Armstrong and Shane Byrne are joined in the UK-based team’s line-up by Mārtiņš Sesks and Renārs Francis.
The WRC2 entry is equally eye-catching, with 29 eligible crews listed in a 33-car RC2 field. Championship leader Roope Korhonen heads the category on home soil in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, while fellow Finns Teemu Suninen, Emil Lindholm, Lauri Joona, Mikko Heikkilä and Tuukka Kauppinen add further local strength.
The Rally2 battle also features Léo Rossel, Nikolay Gryazin and Yohan Rossel in Lancia Ypsilon HF Rally2 machinery, while Robert Virves, Fabrizio Zaldivar, Yuki Yamamoto, Taylor Gill, Mille Johansson, Romet Jürgenson, Jaspar Vaher, Patrick Enok and Conner Martell are among the other WRC2-registered names.
Jari-Matti Latvala is another notable name on the list. The Toyota Gazoo Racing team principal will compete in a GR Yaris Rally2, co-driven by Juho Hänninen, although he is not registered for WRC2 points.
Further down the field, 12 crews are entered for WRC3, including Matteo Fontana, Tymek Abramowski, Nataniel Bruun, Jarkko Nikara, Rio Ogata, Kanta Yanagida, Ville Pynnönen, Riku Tahko and Ismo Leikola.
The FIA Junior WRC also resumes in Finland with six Ford Fiesta Rally3 crews entered. Calle Carlberg, Ali Türkkan, Gil Membrado, Leevi Lassila, Craig Rahill and Kerem Kazaz will all contest the category on roads famed for their high speeds, blind crests and long jumps.
