Miki Biasion is the only Italian driver to win the WRC. He scored 17 WRC victories, the majority with Lancia, for whom he netted back-to-back titles in 1988 and 1989. At his peak, Biasion won almost 75 per cent of the rallies he started and became only the second driver to successfully defend his title - after Juha Kankkunen.
