Jonno, Subee 203 into Grand Final, two spots remain open

Jonno and Subee 203 have confirmed their spots in the eSports WRC Grand Final, presented by Toyota Gazoo Racing, following the 10th round of the eSports WRC Championship. With only one round remaining, two tickets to the Grand Final remain up for grabs.

Attention turned to Wales Rally GB over the past weekend, for the penultimate round of the eSports WRC Championship. Despite the top four drivers (Sami-Joe, Nexl, Izamusing and Noel) having already qualified for the Grand Final, there was still the matter of determining who would finish atop the Championship standings, as well as earning valuable points in the team standings.

The drivers experienced uncharacteristically sunny and dry conditions on the iconic Welsh roads, with the focus on Brenig and Dyfi.

Racing to catch up with newcomer Sami-Joe, defending champion Nexl was guilty of making uncharacteristic mistakes, allowing his level-headed rival to take his fourth win of the season to build a 12-point buffer over the Frenchman going into Rally Finland, which will take place from 6-9 August.

Rounding out the podium in third spot was Izamusing - earning enough points to remain a slim chance of winning the Championship. He now has 172 points, 24 behind Sami-Joe.

Further down the table, there were celebrations for Jonno and Subee203 who both earned enough points to lock in their spots in the Grand Final.

This means, there are two tickets left to be claimed in Finland and seven drivers who can claim then, guaranteeing no shortage of tension for the season-concluding Finnish round.

Meanwhile, in the Teams' Standings, Sami Joe's victory, assisted by Komatsu in sixth place, earned WRC eDrivers 43 points - one more than Race Clutch, who hold a 48-point buffer over WRC eDrivers in the overall standings - meaning the title of Teams' Championship will only be decided in Finland.
