WRC tyre change for technical ace Brivio

Fiorenzo Brivio, one of the world’s leading motorsport tyre engineers, has called time on a 30-year career at Pirelli to take up a new position as technical director at DMACK tyres

The Italian has covered a variety of key technical, industrial and sporting positions across rally and circuit racing and is credited with developing some of the first successful tread patterns for gravel and snow rallies.

In his new role, Brivio will lead the development of the British firm’s motorsport products for both rally and circuit racing.

Brivio said: “I was searching for a new challenge after more than 30 years in the motorsport industry. I’m hoping my passion, experience and technical knowledge will allow us to develop new tyres and attract top level teams within the WRC.”
