Vote now: WRC 8 Livery of the Year
Choose your favourite WRC car colour scheme
We’ve selected a shortlist of four nominees and put them into a video compilation below for you to re-live each moment and enjoy.
Then all you have to do is vote for your Michelin Magic Moment, which will be awarded at the glittering WRC Gala Night in Sydney later this month.
The nominees are:
Gus Greensmith and Elliott Edmondson for their never-say-die spirit in Turkey.
The WRC 2 Pro leaders rolled down a steep bank in the penultimate stage. The situation looked hopeless, but they fathomed an escape of which Houdini would have been proud, made crucial repairs and completed the final stage to claim a hard-earned win.
Esapekka Lappi for a breathtaking escape in Sweden.
The Finn loves Sweden’s fast and flowing roads, but even he would admit it was a close call when he tangled with the snowbanks. Was it skill or good fortune that kept his Citroën C3 on the road? We’ll have to ask him!
Dani Sordo and Carlos del Barrio for a dramatic win in Italy.
The Spaniard celebrated his second WRC success in 164 starts, and his first for almost six years, after a crazy finale to the Wolf Power Stage. Leader Ott Tänak suffered a heartbraking steering problem to allow Sordo to win – and celebrate with a leap into Alghero’s harbour.
Citroën Racing for a dream Rallye Monte-Carlo victory.
What a start to the French manufacturer’s centenary celebrations! Sébastien Ogier, on his return to Citroën, claimed an emotional sixth straight Monte win after fending off Thierry Neuville by 2.2sec in the rally’s closest finish ever. What a special way to mark the company’s 100th world rally success.
Three more gala winners will be decided by fan votes here on wrc.com so don’t forget to check daily for the latest. Voting closes for all categories on 11 November.
Tomorrow: Autodoc Jump of the Year
The winner will be announced during the star-studded gala, which follows the year’s final round at Kennards Hire Rally Australia (14 - 17 November).
More than 250 guests, including drivers, co-drivers, team bosses, senior officials, city personalities and government representatives will celebrate at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney’s picturesque Darling Harbour on Monday 18 November.
