Vote for your stars of 2016

Star drivers and co-drivers from the WRC will join team bosses and championship officials for a glamorous gala awards evening in Sydney this month to celebrate a successful FIA World Rally Championship season.

The gala, which follows the final round at Kennards Hire Rally Australia (17 - 20 November), will be held in the city’s historic Rocks area, in the shadow of the famous Harbour Bridge – and WRC fans have the opportunity to vote for several major awards.

It is being organised by Rally Australia and WRC Promoter on Monday 21 November and more than 200 guests and celebrities are due to attend at the Museum of Contemporary Art, across the water from the Opera House.

It will be hosted by Tim Gilbert, a sports presenter from Australia’s Channel Nine network, and a 30-minute highlights programme will be available to championship broadcast partners for screening in early December.

Ten awards will be presented in categories including Most Power Stage Points, Most Stage Wins, the Certina Timing Feat Award and a media award for the Best News Story of the Year.

Six more categories will be decided by fan votes here on wrc.com. In the run-up to the rally we’ll present the nominations and ask you to cast your votes in the following categories:

• Driver of the Year
• Co-driver of the Year
• DJI Aerial Award
• WRC 6 Livery of the Year
• Michelin Magic Moment
• Lexar Photograph of the Year

Ensure you check www.wrc.com daily from Monday 7 November to be a part of the voting process, or follow the WRC’s social media platforms on Twitter and Facebook for details of when to vote.
