Toyota president guests on WRC show

Toyota president Akio Toyoda was a studio guest during coverage of Rallye Monte-Carlo on J SPORTS network in Japan last weekend.

Mr Toyoda (pictured centre), who has been president of Toyota Motor Corporation since June 2009, is a motorsports enthusiast and last year drove in the Nurburgring 24-hour race in Germany. He also raced there in 2007 and 2009.

J SPORTS is a long-term broadcaster of WRC and recently extended its partnership with the WRC Promoter, which sees the network continuing as the exclusive partner of the championship on Japanese TV.

The network will continue its substantial commitment to WRC programming across live and delayed formats during 2014.
