The WRC gallery: YPF Rally Argentina

The season's fourth round took crews to Argentina; home to rugged landscapes, stunning stages and tens of thousands of passionate rally fans.

Here is a selection of some of our favourite photographs from Argentina, courtesy of wrc.com snappers Jaanus Ree and At-World’s Andre Lavadinho.

1) Watersplashes
Heavy rain before the rally topped-up rivers and made for some spectacular crossings. Somewhere in the spray below you'll find Valeriy Gorban, Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari and Sébastien Ogier.

2) Spectators
An estimated 65,000 lined Sunday's El condor stage alone, many arriving more than 24 hours before the rally cars to guarantee the best viewing spots. Unless of course you had a road grader to stand on.

3) High plains drifters
High altitudes, wide open plains and ancient bridges that could have been lifted from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
