Celebrated photographic agency McKlein has unveiled a range of WRC calendars and books to make the perfect Christmas present for you or your loved ones.
Highlight of the selection is the McKlein Rally Calendar 2020 – The Wider View. The classic giant-sized calendar captures some of the most iconic images from the 2019 WRC season, carefully selected by top photographers Reinhard Klein and Colin McMaster.
It features 25 images in a 95cm panoramic format. There is a choice of two images per month, many of which have never been seen before, which bring to life the stunning landscapes of events like Rallye Monte-Carlo and Rally GB.
As always, the 2020 version, which is a licensed WRC product, presents a vivid portrayal of the colourful and adrenaline-packed world of the sport we all love. It costs €39.90.
Staying with dates, the Desktop Rally Calendar - History meets the Present is a perfect fit for your office or home study. Measuring 11.5cm x 14cm, it is spiral bound and the 55 images offer a choice every two weeks between a historic photograph and a current shot.
There is plenty of action, but also photos showing technical aspects of the cars and others conveying the amazing atmosphere of the WRC. It costs €9.95.
For book lovers, Rallying 2019 – Moving Moments (pictured bottom) tells the story of this year’s gripping fight for championship honours between Ott Tänak, Thierry Neuville and Sébastien Ogier.
Anthony Peacock’s text complements the photography, while a series of insightful vignettes, often emotional and sometimes nostalgic, provide the Moving Moments. Longer features celebrate the year and the champion in a wonderful package of almost 300 pages. It costs €49.90.
Fans of WRC history can turn back the clock with Group A – When Rallying created Road Car Icons, which charts the decade from 1987 to 1996 when Group A-tuned road cars replaced the banned fire-breathing Group B monsters.
The book provides an overview of the major events, the leading cars and crews, the factory teams and results, all lavishly illustrated with McKlein’s photographs. It is the latest in a series which dates back to 1946 and also features the Group 2, Group 4 and Group B eras.
Written by John Davenport, who oversaw the creation of the Group B MG Metro 6R4, and Reinhard Klein, the 256-page book features 663 magnificent images and costs €49.90.
