Rally organisers attend WRC workshop in Germany
Senior officials from WRC rallies around the world were in Trier before ADAC Rallye Deutschland for a WRC event organiser workshop.
Organised by WRC Promoter with support from the German automobile club, ADAC, the event covered topics from event frameworks and itinerary planning, WRC strategy and development to PR and communications co-operation.
Rallies also shared examples of best practice, including a presentation on social media, ticketing and corporate hospitality by representatives of Rally Sweden and another on research and service park implementation by a team from Rally Guanajuato Mexico. Later guests attended the drivers’ autograph signing, Mayor’s reception and ceremonial start.
Oliver Ciesla, WRC Promoter managing director, declared the event a great success. “We were delighted to host our event partners in Trier ahead of ADAC Rallye Deutschland. The presentations provided the basis for valuable discussion, focusing thoughts on increased strategy co-operation between events and standardising best practice ideas across all rounds,” he said.
