Injured Sordo in doubt for Finland

Dani Sordo's participation in Neste Rally Finland [28 - 31 July] hangs in the balance while he recovers from an accident during testing last week.
The Spaniard sustained a fissure fracture of a vertebrae when he crashed his Hyundai i20 at high speed during a pre-event test in Finland on Friday. He spent a night in hospital before returning home to Spain to recuperate.
Hyundai Motorsport will decide early next week whether Sordo will take part in the rally.
Sordo's test car was returned to the team base in Germany for analysis to try and determine the cause of the crash.
Pending this investigation, the Finland pre-event tests for Sordo's team-mates Thierry Neuville and Hayden Paddon have been postponed until 22-25 July.
If Sordo is unable to compete in Finland, then Hyundai test driver Kevin Abbring could be drafted in to take his place.
Abbring deputised for the Spaniard at the 2015 Rally Sweden after Sordo broke two ribs falling off a mountain bike.
