Citroën C3 trio for Corsica
Citroën will field three C3 World Rally Cars for the first time in competition at next month's Che Guevara Energy Drink Tour de Corse.
At the opening two rounds, the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT ran two of its newly-developed C3 cars, plus one of its earlier spec DS 3 World Rally Cars.
Team leader Kris Meeke was at the wheel of a C3 on both occasions, while team-mates Stéphane Lefebvre and Craig Breen alternated between the C3 and the third car.
For round three in Mexico, Meeke and Lefebvre will complete a two-car squad with the C3, but the team will run at full strength at the following round in Corsica [6 - 9 April] when Breen too gets one of the latest-specification cars.
After another two-car entry at Rally Argentina, where there will be C3s for Meeke and Breen, three C3s will be nominated to score points at every round for the rest of the season.
