The WRC’s hugely popular All Live coverage has been shortlisted for two major international television awards just months after being launched.
The pioneering streaming service, which has transformed the way the FIA World Rally Championship is broadcast this season with unprecedented live coverage, is in the running for honours for its innovative approach to the sport.
All Live is one of three nominees shortlisted in the Content Everywhere category at the International Broadcasting Convention’s Innovation Awards in Amsterdam on Sunday 16 September.
It is also nominated twice for the OTT (Over The Top) TV Service of the Year at the Content Innovation Awards in Cannes on Sunday 14 October.
Both awards recognise innovation in the production and distribution of TV content and the use of technology that is helping to transform the global television industry.
WRC Promoter launched All Live at the season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo in January, offering coverage of every special stage for each championship round for the first time.
More than 25 hours of coverage are broadcast as a continuous live stream from each rally, including expert analysis from the WRC TV’s studio and breaking news, interviews and reactions from across the service park.
WRC All Live is available in English on the championship’s www.wrcplus.com subscription channel here.
