Romanian announces JWRC and WRC 2 programmes
The 28-year-old Frenchman, who finished fourth in the FIA Junior WRC in 2014, will tackle seven rounds and will start his campaign with the season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo (22 - 25 January.)
He will follow with outings in Portugal, Italy, Poland, Germany and France before ending in Spain.
Giordano planned to debut his R5 car at last month’s Rallye du Var, the final round of the French Asphalt Championship, but withdrew his entry due to the difficult conditions.
Instead he tested for two days at the start of December at Pouilly circuit and in fog in the Vosges region, the area that hosts Rallye de France - Alsace.
He covered nearly 200km as he fine-tuned the DS3’s set-up to his liking and was partnered by former Peugeot works driver Nicolas Bernardi. Giordano will complete a final test in the French Alps next month ahead of Rallye Monte-Carlo.
