Chile has been included in a new-look 2020 FIA Junior WRC calendar which also features a return for Germany.
The five-round championship* retains Sweden, Italy and Finland from this year, while Chile’s addition marks the first time the series has included a round in south America.
The closing fixture in Germany offers double points to crews that have completed at least three of the previous four rallies.
The championship is aimed at discovering the WRC’s stars of the future. It provides the next generation with essential experience of all three surfaces represented in the WRC’s 14-round calendar – snow and ice, gravel and asphalt.
The M-Sport Poland-organised series will again be based around Ford Fiesta R2 cars with an exciting prize package. The winner will be handed the keys to a new Fiesta R5, 200 tyres, free registration for the 2021 WRC 3 championship and five free entries.
Should the 2020 champion win WRC 3 in 2021, they will receive two drives with M-Sport Ford World Rally Team in 2022.
The Rookie Award returns, with a €15,000 prize for the highest placed rookie to go towards their 2021 Junior WRC season.
Previous Junior WRC graduates include world champions Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier as well as World Rally Car stars Elfyn Evans, Craig Breen and Pontus Tidemand.
