The Italian’s final triumph of the year was also his most dominant, winning all 16 of the rally’s demanding stages and finishing more than 30 minutes clear of Naveen Pulligilla’s Ford Fiesta Rally3.
Pulligilla and third-placed Saeed Al-Mouri had every reason to celebrate as both secured their maiden WRC3 podiums. Al-Mouri also topped the Renault Clio Rally3 runners on home soil.
After losing time when stuck in soft sand on Thursday, Burcu Çetinkaya completed the remainder of the rally cleanly to take fourth, while Georgios Vasilakis rounded out the top five after restarting on Saturday morning.
