M-Sport Ford’s McErlean and Hyundai Motorsport’s Fourmaux were both called to separate FIA stewards meetings on Sunday following the completion of the rally, where both were ruled to have failed to have fastened safety belts prior to their vehicles being in motion in separate incidents.
The ruling for each was a one minute penalty, denying Irishman McErlean his best-ever finish and dropping him from fourth to sixth whilst Frenchman Fourmaux went from fifth to seventh.
